Enjoyment: I enjoy reading this story because i feel that i'm the main character eventhough it not really happen on me. Also the lesson of this story encourage me to do better thing's to other's.
Comprehension: For me it's easy because i'll understand well the whole story even if it had some unfamiliar words.

Reading Summary: Soap and Water by Anzia Yezierska. This story was about a college girl who,taking up education course. But their dean Miss Whiteside withheld her diploma because of her personal appearance. Miss Whiteside also said that she didn't good to become a teacher, also she reminded her that "soap and water are cheap,anyone can be clean";by this she felt all the unwashed of the earth break loose within her. Personally,Miss Whiteside didn't even care if she's clean or dirty all she can do is to judge her if she's fit or unfit to become a teacher.
Since she cant afford college she need to have a work. She work's on a laundry shop  that's why she don't have time to clean herself. At first she was excited to go to college because she though she can express herself  and voice her though there. But when she entered college her schoolmates and other people judge her. Because of her appearance she was also tricked and foiled by other's. She cant also have a decent work and considered unfit to get a decent pay for her work. The hate she felt for Miss Whiteside spread that she could hate all the clean society.
She think that if she could only find a person that she can unburdened her heart, it would give her strength to begin again on her search for america. And yet she remembered when she was in her freshmen years her instructor in chemistry was the only teacher she wants to become her friend. Because she felt that it was the only real teacher among all professor she met. But then it not happen because of her very intensity longing for friendship it made her ran away.
About ten years after she left college,as she walks on the street and begging for work,she met Miss Van Ness. Miss Van Ness gave her a new life,and she made her eventually to found the real life that what she want in America.

Enjoyment: I enjoy reading this article because it gives me more knowledge about headbanging .

Comprehension: For me its not easy nor difficult. Because i'll understand the idea of this article but in some point I encounter some words that i don't understand.

Reading Summary: The Science Of Headbanging by Christa Titus. Recent report revealed that headbanging could cause brain damage. As it did for a 50 year old motor head fan who, after a concert in Germany was discovered with bleeding on the brain. As doctors said,vigorous headbanging can cause of man's persistent headaches. Eventually, the man had fluid in his brain drained via a hole drilled in his skull and headache ceased. Assistant Professor of neurosurgery Dr. Christopher Mandigo says the noise was blown out of proportion and that incidents are rare. "Headbanging is not dangerous,it has no difference than riding a jet ski" he says with laugh. Still,there is a physiological change that humans experience around age 50. When the brain begins to shrink,so it doesn't fit perfectly in the skull. Mandigo says if you're moving your head vigorously back and forth the brain is moving inside the skull. So if it not matched to the skull's size anymore,it can tear veins. After years of headbanging and trashing about while performing,musicians have suffered repetitive stress injuries. Slayer & Tom Araya developed a pinched nerve and two herniated disks and Megadeth & Dave Mustaine has a spinal condition called stenosis. While Evanescence,Terry Balsamo,Stone Sour & Roy Mayorga had strokes after developing a blood clot and a dissected artery. By this article headbanging is not really good for us. That created such health problems.
